Karen Greenstein
General Counsel, Fastly
Karen Greenstein serves as General Counsel at Fastly, joining the company in 2019 and serving as interim General Counsel for several quarters before her appointment in 2023. She was hired in advance of Fastly’s initial public offering to build and lead the law team’s commercial vertical which is responsible for all revenue and procurement contracts.
Prior to joining Fastly, she served as General Counsel of Purch, Inc., a growth-equity backed digital media company that published websites aimed at both business and consumer users. Before that, she served as Senior Vice President in the business and legal affairs department at Viacom, advising Viacom Media Network’s Digital Music Group on strategic partnerships, technology development and licensing, and content production for its websites and applications.
Earlier in her career, Karen was a commercial lawyer focused on digital media with several companies including NBC Universal and CNET Networks, Inc. She began her career in the corporate department of Loeb & Loeb, LLP. She holds a J.D. from New York University and a B.A. in from the University of Michigan.
